How to Use the Kids Learning Pathways
Each of the four Kids Learning Pathways strings together guides, activities, and worksheets already on the site into one ordered route by age, so instead of browsing Learning or Activities and hoping you land on the right next step, the pathway tells you directly. Pick the pathway matching what your child needs most right now — you don’t need to follow all four at once, and most families find one or two pathways cover what actually comes up day to day.
Pathways Are a Suggestion, Not a Curriculum
These Kids Learning Pathways are meant to remove guesswork, not to replace your child’s actual schooling or set a pace you have to keep up with. If your child needs to slow down on one stage or skip ahead on another, that’s normal and expected — the order is a sensible default, not a requirement. Math, Reading, Science, and Life Skills & Logic
The Math Pathway moves from number sense through the operations kids get stuck on most (regrouping, fractions, word problems), the Reading Pathway runs from phonics through comprehension and fluency, and the Science Pathway builds from hands-on curiosity toward the vocabulary and reasoning kids need in upper elementary. The Life Skills & Logic Pathway is the odd one out by design — it pairs practical independence (routines, responsibility, budgeting) with the logical reasoning skills that show up in math, reading comprehension, and everyday problem-solving alike, since the two reinforce each other more than most parents expect.
Starting Partway Through a Pathway
You don’t need to start any Kids Learning Pathway at stage one. Each stage names the skills it assumes and the skills it builds, so if your child already has the earlier basics down, it’s fine to skip ahead and start where the content actually matches what they’re working on right now — the pathway is there to orient you, not to gate progress behind completing every earlier stage first.
How Pathways Relate to Free Account Recommendations
If you create a free parent account and add a profile for each child with their age, the personalized recommendations pulled into your dashboard already lean on these same Kids Learning Pathways behind the scenes — so using a pathway page directly and letting the dashboard suggest what’s next are two ways of reaching the same result, and you can freely mix both depending on whether you’d rather browse or be shown.
